The School of Natural Sciences at Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU) is offering a highly competitive and contemporary MSc program in Botany. The program follows the UGC Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) format of 2015 and is a 2 year course with 4 semesters.  The department with its well designed curriculum, experienced faculty and well-equipped laboratories, is dedicated to providing the students with a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in the field of plant sciences. The program emphasizes on the dissemination of both theoretical concepts and practical skills. Students will be engaged in acquiring hands-on training through rigorous laboratory work, workshops and will also be encouraged to gain a holistic learning experience through research projects, industry internship and seminars. Graduates from this program will be adequately equipped to pursue careers in both academia and industry.

Eligibility:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in the relevant/allied discipline from any recognized university or institute.                  
  2. The admission will be on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.(please refer to those defined by the other departments of School of Natural Sciences)
