AICTE-IDEA Labs are being established to encourage students to apply Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience, learning by doing, and even product visualization. Girijananda Chowdhury University Assam is the first University in North-eastern India to be honoured with the establishment and functioning of the AICTE-IDEA Lab. The University has grabbed initial funding of Rs. 1.1 crore for the initiation and smooth conduction of the Lab. Some of the instruments available at AICTE IDEA Lab are 3D scanner, 3D printer, CNC wood router, CO2 laser cutter, PCB prototype machine, PCB Fabrication process, Sublimation machine and printer, Mini desktop lathe cummilling machine, Computer work station, etc.
