To provide practical exposure and industry-oriented learning, an industrial visit was organized for the B.Tech 1st Semester students of the Department of Civil Engineering on 17th November 2023. The visit took place at the Greentech Residency construction site, located at Dharapur, Assam.
The primary objective of the visit was to help students understand the real-world applications of civil engineering principles and gain insights into modern construction practices. During the visit, Mr. Rahul Bansiwal, Project Manager, explained in detail the various ongoing works at the site, including foundation preparation, reinforcement detailing, concreting methods, and site safety measures.
Students observed the practical implementation of theoretical concepts learned in class, particularly in areas related to building materials, structural systems, and project supervision. The visit enhanced their understanding of construction management and site coordination, providing them with a valuable glimpse into the professional world of civil engineering.
Overall, the visit was highly informative and engaging, fostering curiosity and motivating students to connect classroom learning with field applications.
