Distinguished Academician and Researcher
29 years of teaching experience and 31 years of research experience at the state, national, and international levels. As a recognized Ph.D. guide at Gauhati University, Assam, India, they have guided 28 research scholars to PhD degree completion, with six more presenting their final registration seminars, and two MPhil degrees awarded. Their research portfolio includes 120 publications and six books.

Secured first-class positions in BSc (Hons) Zoology and MSc Zoology with a University Academic Gold Medal from Gauhati University.
Earned PhD degree from King’s College London, University of London in 1998.

Reproductive physiology, endocrine disruption, phyto-estrogens, and environmental estrogens
Validation of traditional uses of medicinal plants of North Eastern Region of India for curing diabetes, reproductive problems, and cancer
Participated in 65 seminars and conferences, delivering over 500 lectures on education, science, technology, and career opportunities
Administrative Experience
Served as Director of the College Development Council (CDC) at Gauhati University from 2011 to 2014
Appointed as Director (i/c) of the UGC-HRDC, Gauhati University in 2017
