I know I am mad.” Reflecting on Dali’s unconventional way of thinking, the Department of English and Foreign Languages aims at honing the ability of the students to embrace their madness and their passion. To nurture this, we provide a stimulating and vibrant intellectual environment for students and research scholars through a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to literature, popular culture, and language studies.
We offer a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, taking into consideration the NEP 2020 that covers literature, linguistics, visual studies, creative writing, and communication studies while emphasizing the learning of different foreign languages, including certification programs in Japanese. Additionally, prospective PhD research students will have the opportunity to work in an exceptionally wide range of research areas, including gender studies, popular culture, regional and cultural knowledge, and Southeast Asian Studies. Our courses are taught by experienced and enthusiastic faculty members who are passionate about their subjects and are committed to helping each student achieve their full potential. In addition to our academic programs, the Department of English and Foreign Languages also has a vibrant research culture. Our dedicated team of faculty members are active researchers who publish their work in prestigious journals and present at national and international conferences.
