Manashi Devi is an assistant professor in the Department of English at Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam. She graduated in English from Mangaldai College and completed her master’s program in English Language and English Language Teaching from Gauhati University. Her research interests focus on determining the relationship between teaching and evaluation of the English language and the positive backwash effect of the language tests. She has fifteen years of experience in teaching English language andcommunication, and literature. She is also trained in syllabus designing, material development and stylistic analysis. She is a member of English Language Teachers’ Association of India. Aside from her lifelong love for teaching, she is also passionate about reading, travelling, and music.
