One-Day National Conference at Tezpur Campus

Girijananda Chowdhury University’s Tezpur Campus played host to a significant event in the realms of chemical and pharmaceutical sciences with the One-Day National Conference on “Frontiers in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences for the Development of Novel Therapeutics-2024” organized by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences-Tezpur, in collaboration with the Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT), Mumbai, and Rangapara College, Rangapara, the conference aimed to explore cutting-edge research and advancements in the field.

A total of 56 poster presentations and 13 oral presentations were delivered, showcasing the depth and breadth of research being conducted across the nation. With over 200 delegates from various renowned institutes viz. Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh; Tezpur University, Tezpur; Defence Research Laboratory, Tezpur; University of Calcutta, West Bengal; Mata Gujri College of Pharmacy, Bihar; GautamInstitue of Pharmacy, Bihar; Royal Global University, Guwahati; Chaitanya (Deemed to be) University, Telangana; NETES Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Guwahati; Assam Down Town University; Guwahati; NEF College of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Nagaon, etc. were participated in the conference and took part in fruitful discussions, networking, and the exchange of ideas.

Ms. PakterNiri, Senior Research Fellow at DRL-Tezpur, wins the best poster presentation, followed by Ms. NirmitaKashyap of GCU Tezpur and Ms. TuhinaaPriyamBordoloi of Royal Global University. In the other hand, Mr. SubramanyamPolopalli, Senior Research Fellow from DRL-Tezpur, wins the best oral presentation; Mr. Ajay Kakati, Senior Research Fellow from DRL-Tezpur, takes second place; and Mr. Deepjyoti Das, Research Scholar, CSIR-NEIST, takes third place.
