On 11th October 2025, the Department of Business Administration organized an industrial visit for the MBA 1st semester students to Jericho Food & Beverages LLP (Campa), located in Changsari. A total of 56 students participated in the one-day educational trip, accompanied by three faculty members – Dr. Abhinav Sarma, Mr. Faruk Ahmed and Mr. Sasanka Bujarbaruah, all Assistant Professors in the department. The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the operations of a beverage manufacturing plant and to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Bhargab Lahkar, Executive MIS of the company, who guided them throughout the factory premises. He offered a detailed explanation of various aspects of the production process, including the preparation of mixtures and syrups, the plant layout, the functioning of the assembly line and the methods adopted for waste management. Mr. Lahkar also addressed numerous queries from the students, enriching their understanding of day-to-day plant operations.

Following this, Mr. Sourabh Kr. Roy, Assistant Manager – HR & Admin, interacted with the students and elaborated on the company’s HR policies, internship programs and future job opportunities, giving them a clear insight into corporate expectations and practices. The visit concluded with an informative session by Mr. Parijat Prakash Mahanta, General Manager of the plant, who encouraged students to gain a thorough understanding of ISO standards, FSSAI regulations, industry licensing requirements and environmental compliance in industrial settings. Overall, the visit proved to be a highly informative and enriching experience for the students, offering them a valuable glimpse into the real-world workings of the beverage industry. The Department extends its sincere gratitude to the management and staff of Jericho Food & Beverages LLP for their warm hospitality and support in making the visit a success.
