The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Girijananda Chowdhury University, organized an educational visit to the Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research (SAMEER), IIT Guwahati, on 11th September 2025. The visit was attended by the final year and pre-final year students of the department.
During the program, the officials at SAMEER provided insightful sessions in the fields of Microwave Engineering and Electromagnetic Engineering Technology. The students gained first-hand exposure to-
High Voltage Power Supply, Power Microwave Tubes, Reflex Klystron, Magnetron, Network Analyzer and
Various advanced designs related to communication technologies.
The visit offered the students a unique opportunity to witness the practical implementation of theoretical concepts they had studied in their courses. The experience was highly enriching and motivated the students to further explore research and innovation in these domains.
The educational visit was coordinated by Ms. Subhadra Das (Assistant Professor, ECE) and Ms. Namrata Kataki (Assistant Professor, ECE).
