The Department of Civil Engineering conducted an industrial field visit to Protech Construction, Dharapur, for the B.Tech 2nd Semester students on 11th May 2024. The students were first taken to the site laboratory by a technical expert from Protech Construction, who demonstrated the casting of concrete cubes and the use of various apparatus required to measure the quality of materials. Subsequently, they were taken to the construction site, where they observed the casting of pile caps.
The field visit was led by Mr. Bhaskar Jyoti Medhi (Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering) and Mrs. Anwesha Gayan (Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering), GCU, Guwahati. The visit proved to be highly beneficial for the students.
