Girijananda Chowdhury University Student Selected to Represent India at World Youth Festival, 2024 in Russia

Girijananda Chowdhury University proudly announces that Miss Jyotishma Medhi, 8th Semester student of Civil Engineering department has been selected as one of the 360 representatives from India to attend the World Youth Festival (WYF) in Sochi City, Russia.

The event is scheduled to take place from 1st March to 7th March 2024. Ms. Jyotishma Medhi secured her place at WYF through a rigorous selection process. In the first round, she submitted an essay on the theme “Life, Dignity and Justice” and the second round involved a video conference session showcasing her thoughtful insights and intellectual prowess.

The World Youth Fest is a prestigious gathering that will host 20,000 Russian and international leaders, including teenagers representing children’s organizations and associations from around the world. Jyotishma will actively participate in activities spanning diverse fields such as business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteering and charity, sportsand public life.

This remarkable achievement not only recognizes Miss Jyotishma Medhi’s academic excellence but also her commitment to addressing critical issues that impact the global youth community.
