Biography

Ms. Suranjana Bharadwaj has been working in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam as an Assistant Professor. She joined the institute in Aug, 2012 when it was famously known as Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Technology, under Gauhati University. In these 10 years of vast teaching experience she has taught subjects like Power System, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, Reliability Engineering, Measurements and Instrumentation, Smart Grid Technology etc. She has done projects and published research papers in areas like Fuzzy logic optimization, Neural Networks, Power System Optimization, Demand Side Management etc. She likes to be engaged with new areas of learning and new subjects whenever opportunity comes. She is a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology(2011) and has done her M.E. from Assam Engineering College with specialization in Power Systems(2014). Apart from teaching, her hobbies/interests are reading books(both
fiction and non-fiction), music, poetry. She has a keen interest in learning history and visiting historical places. She is of a friendly and caring nature and gets involved with students so that they can be nurtured to their fullest potential.
