Ms. Pallavi Roy joined the Department of Electrical Engineering as an Assistant Professor on August 2014. Before this, she worked as a guest lecturer at Jorhat Engineering College for one year. She completed her post-graduation (M.Tech) in energy technology from Tezpur University in 2014. She was the gold medalist of the 2012-14 batch. She was also awarded the ONGC scholarship for being the topper in M.Tech. The work carried out by her during her final year of M.Tech was a part of the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) funded project in collaboration with the University of Nottingham. She has quite a few publications related to the project work including a book chapter in Springer. She completed her under graduation (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering from Jorhat Engineering College in 2010 during which she was also awarded the merit scholarship by the Director of Technical Education. At present, she is pursuing her PhD from Assam Engineering College(under Gauhati University), her research area is improving the performance of renewable energy systems. She has also been awarded the Mission10X Dale Carnegie Certificate in High-Impact Teaching Skills
At present; she is teaching the curriculum courses of Renewable energy Sources, Illumination engineering, Electrical measurement, Advanced Electrical measurement, basic electrical Engineering, etc. She has done several faculty development programs and completed a few SWAYAM courses related to her area. She has also completed UHV & UHV I courses. She has Co-ordinated many short-term training programs under TEQIP-III and actively organizes industrial tours for the students.
Apart from academics, she loves traveling to different places. She is also very passionate about cooking and loves preparing different cuisines for her family and friends.
