Ms. Namrata Kataki is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Girijananda Chowdhury University. She has joined the institute on 3rd September 2012. She has done her Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), Guwahati under Gauhati University and Master Degree in Technology from Tezpur University. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D from Assam Engineering College under Gauhati University.
Ms. Namrata Kataki has the experience of teaching various subjects such as Power Electronics, Digital System Design Using VHDL, VERILOG, Analog Communication, Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Control System, Computer Networks, Microprocessor and Microcontroller, Electrical Engineering Materials, Basic Electronics Engineering in Under Graduate as well as Post Graduate levels. She has also guided more that 30 final year projects till now. Currently she is also the project coordinator of the department.
Along with teaching – learning, she is handling the position as faculty coordinator of Digital and Social media of the University. Earlier also she handled the responsibility of various positions such as NBA Module Coordinator, NIRF Coordinator, coordinator of AISHE data collection and submission committee, Member of UGC 2F and 12B working committee, Semester Coordinator, Member of Anti ragging committee (ECE), Coordinator Robotics and Innovation Club- GIMT, coordinator of Hospitality committee in Smart India Hackathon by Central Ministry, India, coordinator robotics events of Techmilap 2022, Member of EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotshav, 2022
Ms. Kataki has successfully completed UHV-I & UHV-II courses. Along with that she has also attended more than 35 FDPs and workshops. She has organized many events like FDP, workshops, lecture sessions, inter-college competitions etc. She has also received grants from TEQIP-III two times for conducting workshops and FDPs. She is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). She has 11 international publications in reputed journals.
Ms. Namrata Kataki was awarded Governor’s Award for her service to humanity as a member of Junior Red Cross. She also received NEC Scholarship from Govt. of India during M. Tech Course from 2010-2012.
