Ms. Shrabani Medhi possesses over 14 years of experience as an academician and researcher with a specialized focus on the realm of artificial intelligence and application development. She holds the esteemed position of Assistant Professor of the Computer Science and Engineering department at the School of Engineering within Girijananda Chowdhury University, located in Guwahati, Assam, India. She is deeply engaged in imparting education across a spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Her teachings encompass subjects ranging from programming languages like C, python, C++, etc. to data structures, artificial intelligence, and data science. Beyond her pedagogical pursuits, she is actively involved as Departmental Placement Coordinator, Semester Coordinator and Handicraft Club Coordinator.
Ms. Medhi earned her Bachelors of Engineering degree and Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Gauhati University, respectively. She was the batch topper in her Master’s degree. Currently, she is pursuing her P.hD from GIMT affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University. She also qualified GATE in 2012. She is Universal Human Values (UHV I and UHV II) certified.
In addition to her academic achievements, she actively serves as a resource person in various reputed organizations. She has authored multiple book chapters and contributed as an author or co-author in research articles published in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals like Scopus, UGC-care. Ms. Medhi is the Co-Principal Investigator of a project funded by Assam Science Technology and Environment Council.
Her professional body membership includes Life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Guwhati.
