Ms.Rubina Chowdhury joined the School of Pharmaceutical Science, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Tezpur Campusas an Assistant Professor in August 2023. At present, she is teaching (and learning) the curriculum courses of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Rubina has done her (post-graduation)M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (with a major project in Design, Synthesis and Study of Antidepressant Activity of Amino Acid Conjugated MercaptoBenzimidazole Derivatives) from Dibrugarh University. Her undergraduate (B.Pharm) was in Pharmaceutical Sciences (with a major project in Xanthone Derivatives as Effective Anticancer Drugs and A Way Forward- A QSAR Approach). She has done her hospital training at M.G.Model Hospital, Jugijan, Hojai, Assam.
Apart from academics, she writes poetry in English and Assamese. She also enjoys public speaking and painting. In the IPA-Devinder Pal National Elocution Competition, 2022, she was able to secure 4th position among nine finalists all across India. She has published various reviews and research articles in Scientific Journals. She has attended and presented at a number of National and International Seminars. She attended Hands-on training and workshops on instruments used in the Pharmaceutical field.
