Ms. Monirupa Misra has been serving in the Department of Civil Engineering as a Laboratory Instructor since 15 th September, 2008. Her area of teaching in the curriculum courses related to Laboratory class, that’s are Engineering Graphics Design , Civil Engineering Drawings & Auto Cad Lab, Transportation Engineering Lab., Engineering Geology, Construction Materials and Concrete Technology Lab etc. She is the coordinator of Literature club and Members of Media and publication committee in GCU.
She has 4 years experience as an Assistant Architect in a Architetural firm from 1993 to 1997. She also has 4 years experience as a subject teacher in Srimanta Shankar Academy, Dispur, Guwahati from 2004 to 2008. She has found very sincere and energetic women in her last 16 years service tenure in the GIMT which is under GCU .
Monirupa Misra completed her HSLC and HS exam. from Tinsukiya . She obtained her Diploma in Architectural Assistantship from Girl’s Polytechnic, Guwahati in the year of 1993 and Civil Engineering Draughtsmanship from ITI Mumbai in 2001. She completed M.A. in Assamese Literature in 2001 and B. Ed degree in 2003 from Gauhati University.
Beside this she is closely associated with different cultural and Literary organization like Pragjyotishpur Sahitya Sabha, Sadou Asom Lekhika Samaruh Samity etc . She is a life members of Asom Sahitya Sobha, Sodou Asom Lekhika Somaruh Samity , Sodou Asom Kobi Choktra. Her book ” Sunaru Phulor Malita ” awarded 1st position in all Assam base by Sodou Asom Lekhika Samaroh Samiti in 2022.
She awarded Lekhok Sambordhona under the scheme ” Assam Bhakha Gourav Achoni” from Govt. of Assam, Higher Education Department in 2021. She awarded as best writer in Article and Short Story many times. Occassionally, she writes articles in different news papers and magazines . She is a good reciter. Her YouTube channel for recitation of poem is become popularized . She presently works in a channel “ASSAM prides” which is mainy a interview series. She has published
