Mr. Susankar Kushari joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry as an Assistant Professor on 4th of January, 2019. At present he imparts knowledge in the fields of Medicinal Chemistry and Instrumental Method of Analysis.
He has completed his M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with research work focused on “Design and synthesis of some novel chloramphenicol amine derivatives and evaluating their in-vitro antimicrobial and anticancer activity” from Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Science (RIPANS), Mizoram University, Mizoram. He completed his B. Pharm degree from Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh, Assam with another project work entitled as, “Standardization and quality control of some herbal drugs”.
Currently he is pursuing his PhD from Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Assam. Some of the recent paper published by him are “An integrated computational approach towards the screening of active plant metabolites as potential inhibitors of SARS‑CoV‑2: an overview. Structural Chemistry, 2022” (as first author, Publisher: Springer Nature) and book chapter entitled as “Exploring the traditional system of Medicine with special emphasis on the indigenous practice of herbal remedy by the tribals of North-east India. Natural Medicine,2023” (as co-author, Publisher: Bentham Science)
In addition to his academic achievements, he also holds the title of “Mr. Photogenic” earned during his participation in Mr & Mrs. Assam organized by Spark in 2020 showcasing his aesthetic talents.
