Mr. Suman Kumar has joined as an Assistant Professor on 4th of January, 2019 at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, GIPS, Guwahati. At present he is working as a full time Ph.D. research scholar under the prestigious DST-inspire fellowship programme under the supervision of Dr. Damiki Laloo, Professor GCU. Currently he is imparting knowledge in the field of biochemistry and Instrumental Method of Analysis. He has completed his M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with research work focused on “Design and synthesis of some novel metformin derivatives and evaluating their in-vivo antidiabetic activity” from Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Science (RIPANS), Mizoram University, Mizoram. Currently he is pursuing his PhD from Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Assam under a project title with ‘Role of polyphenolic active constituent(s) from potentilla fulgens root for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer in experimental animals: a comprehensive preclinical investigation associated with molecular mechanism’. Some of the recent paper published by him are “Traditional complementary and alternative medicine (TCAM) for diabetic foot ulcer management: A systematic review. Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, 2022” (as first author, Publisher: Elsevier), Herbal medicine used for wound healing by the tribes of the North Eastern states of India: A comprehensive review.
