Biography

Mr. Jubayer Mehbub Jinnah is currently serving as a Lecturer at Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Assam, and is also pursuing his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the same institution. Prior to the present appointment, Mr. Jinnah completed his Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmacology with First Class with Distinction from Girijananda Chowdhury University. He also holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. He has developed a
strong academic foundation in pharmaceutical sciences through consistent academic performance and research involvement.

Mr. Jinnah has rendered academic and research services in the capacity of a Lecturer and postgraduate researcher in the Department of Pharmacology. He has practical experience in teaching, guiding students, and conducting laboratory-based experimental pharmacology work. With regard to academic qualifications, Mr. Jinnah is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Girijananda Chowdhury University, focusing on advanced pharmacological research.

Mr. Jinnah’s primary research interests include anti-diabetic studies, polyherbal formulations, and experimental pharmacology, with a focus on the development and evaluation of plant- based therapeutic agents for chronic diseases. His M.Pharm research work focused on anti-diabetic activity.

Mr. Jinnah has successfully completed several workshops, seminars, and training programmes organized by reputed institutions such as NIPER Guwahati, Assam Down Town University, Nemcare Group of Institution, Guwahati Medical college and Hospital. He has actively participated in national and international conferences and is currently engaged in his doctoral research work in pharmaceutical sciences.

Mr. Jinnah has published research and review articles in reputed national and international journals in the areas of pharmaceutical formulation, pharmacognosy, and pharmacology. His research contributions include the formulation and evaluation of advanced drug delivery systems such as multiple emulsions, focusing on improving drug stability, bioavailability, and therapeutic efficacy.

In addition to formulation-based research, Mr. Jinnah has authored comprehensive review articles on medicinal plants, highlighting their phytochemical composition, pharmacological activities, and therapeutic potential. His review works include detailed discussions on plants such as Aegle marmelos and Catharanthus roseus, emphasizing their antioxidant, anti-diabetic, and anticancer properties along with their underlying molecular mechanisms and future research perspectives. Through these scholarly contributions, Mr. Jinnah has demonstrated a strong ability to integrate experimental research with evidence-based scientific analysis in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

Furthermore, Mr. Jinnah has gained practical exposure through industrial training at CERA Biological India Private Limited, Hyderabad, and hospital training at Dhubri Medical College & Hospital, Assam. These experiences have strengthened his understanding of pharmaceutical and clinical practices. He possesses key skills in laboratory animal handling, dosing techniques, data analysis, and pharmaceutical research methodologies, along with good communication skills, decision-making ability, and a strong commitment to academic and research excellence.
