Dhruva Jyoti Sharma joined the Department of Business Administration, Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology, currently Girijananda Chowdhury University on August 2014.He has nine-year experience of teaching and learning in the area of Business Policy and Strategic Management, Technology and Innovation Management, Quality Control and Management, Values and Ethics in Management, Managerial Behaviour and Effectiveness, Entrepreneurship Management, Performance Appraisal, Training and Development, Organisational Behaviour, International Finance, Sales and CRM and Corporate Environment.
Dhruva has done his Master of Business Administration from North Eastern Regional Institute of Management under Dibrugarh University with major in Finance and Marketing. He has completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Institute of Distance and Open Learning, Gauhati University. He completed his Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Biotechnology from Bharath University, Chennai. He is NET(Management) qualified and has submitted his PhD thesis in the area of Behavioural Finance. Prior to joining academics, he worked as a Management trainee with Shriram Transport Finance Company (Chennai) and as an Analyst with XL-Dynamics Pvt Ltd. (Mumbai). He also served in the development sector as a Project Associate in PRADAN and SeSTA (NGOs) and initiated various interventions in the rural areas of Chirang district of Assam like livelihood upliftment through implementation of SRI (System of Rice intensification) and SHG development etc.
Apart from academics he enjoys music, quality time with friends and family and occasional escapes to hill stations.
