Madhusmita Ronghangpi

Ms. Madhusmita Ronghangpi joined the Department of Law, Girijananda Choudhury University as an Assistant Professorfrom September, 2024. Her thrust areas of research are: Corporate, Insolvency and Bankruptcy, etc. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Law from the Department of Law, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong under Dr. Naveen Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Law, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya. She cleared UGC-NET JRF in Law in June-2020 and UGC-NET in Law in Dec-2019. She also completed her LL.M. (Gold Medalist) in Business Law Specialization from National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, in 2020 and She passed her LL.B. from University Law College, Gauhati University, in 2019. She graduated in science (Geology Hons.) from Dimoria College, Gauhati University, in 2015.

Further, she worked as a Teaching Associate at University Law College, Gauhati University for one year. In addition, she worked as a Research Associate in a National project, “Police System India Series” (Team Meghalaya)sponsored by Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training (MILAT) and Thomson Reuters (from 2020 to 2022).

She has also published book chapter in edited book. She has also written many research papers in UGC Care Listed journals and peer-reviewed journals and presented papers at both International and National Conferences, workshops, and seminars.
