Kaustov Pronob Borthakur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Foreign Languages at Girijananda Chowdhury University, Guwahati, Assam. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Delhi University, a Master of Arts in English from Tezpur University, and has recently submitted his PhD thesis titled “Re-negotiating the Postcolonial Indian City: A Study of Selected Literary Representations” under the supervision of Professor Sravani Biswas from Tezpur University.
Prior to joining GCU, he worked as a guest faculty in NLUJAA (National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam). His areas of interest include, Literary Geography, Mobility studies, Urban studies, City Fiction. Apart from teaching, Kaustov is interested in films and music. He has participated and won prizes in multiple music related events.
