Ian Stewart Suchiang joined the Department of Pharmacy, Girijananda Chowdhury University as an Assistant Professor on August 2023. At present, he is teaching (and learning) the curriculum courses of Pharmacognosy in Diploma and Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence, Quality control and Standardization of Herbal Drugs in B.Pharm. Prior to this, he worked as a Lecturer in NEPEDS College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His work was mostly in Pharmacognostical study of Crude drugs and Natural products.
Ian has completed his (post-graduation) M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy from Mizoram University and his under-graduation B.Pharm from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. He also qualified the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) exam which is conducted by NTA.
He has also attended and participated several International conferences, National Seminars throughout India. Apart from academics, he also plays musical instruments as a hobby.
