Biography

Dr. Trishna Das, a faculty with 14 years of teaching experience in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences Guwahati, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam, hasjoined the department as a Lecturer on 18th January, 2010 and currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy.At present, she is teaching the curriculum courses according to PCI syllabus in Under Graduate and Post Graduate level. As a responsible academician, she provides analogies, group activities and prepares teaching plans that facilitate classroom participation and also applies several teaching methodologies to improve and motivate students and to aid their growth.

Dr. Das has completed her Ph. D in Pharmaceutical Sciences from prestigious Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam.In her research area, she is supervising 3 Ph.D research scholars and 2 post graduate students on different projects. More than 6 post graduate students and 20 under graduate students had completed their project under her guidance.She is currently working as principal investigator on research projects under Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) and Modernization and Removal of Obsolescence(MODROB) funded by AICTE.Shehas24 International publications, 4 book chapters, attended 5 Faculty Development Program and also participated and presented scientific papers in many national and international seminars. She has also received grant for design German patent in on the topic “Nanoformulation protein with cardioprotective activity”.
