Biography

Dr. Swarnali Pathak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Girijananda Chowdhury University, Azara, Guwahati, Assam. She has been actively engaged in the teaching- learning process since her joining in GIMT, Guwahati in September 2006. Dr. Pathak is deeply passionate about teaching and inspiring students in the wonders of chemistry. She has research focus on organic synthesis, catalysis, and natural products chemistry. After completing her Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Dr. Swarnali Pathak pursued her Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry at Gauhati University. Motivated by her passion for research, she continued her academic journey and obtained her doctorate from the same university under the supervision of Prof D C Deka. She has published a number of scientific papers in journals and conferences. She has also participated in various Faculty Development Programmes and workshops. She is currently HOD(I/C) of the Department of Chemistry, School of Natural Sciences, GCU. She is a self-motivated and confident person with seventeen years of teaching experience. Dr. Pathak is a life member of Indian Science Congress Association. She is actively engaged in academic as well as extracurricular activities.
