Biography

Dr. Sandip Bordoloi completed his B.E in Instrumentation Engineering in 2008, his M.Tech in Electronics and Communication in 2010 and his PhD in Electrical and Electronics in 2015. His interests are in Sensors and sensor systems, Instrumentation, Energy and Data Analytics. He had joined Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology, Azara, Guwahati, as an Assistant professor on 3rd January 2011. Prior to this, he had worked at Assam Assam Down Town University, Panikhaiti, Guwahati. He is now an Associate Professor and HoD of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Bordoloi is also assigned the role of Dean of Student Affairs of Girijananda Chowdhury University. As a faculty, Dr. Bordoloi has taken several courses in electrical, electronics and instrumentation.

Dr. Bordoloi is a well-presented, self-motivated, resourceful and confident person who has spent more than twelve years in teaching, research and development of higher technical education. He possesses a rich experience of both academics and administration and has the ability to do multi-tasking and handle complex organizational problems when working at the Departmental and University level.

Dr. Sandip Bordoloi is also an active researcher. He has guided many undergraduate and postgraduate students as project supervisor. He is also a project supervisor under Assam Science and Technology University and Girijananda Chowdhury University and currently guiding PhD students. He has published many research papers and has three sponsored projects under his name. He is also a reviewer of National and International Journals.   He has also organized many academic and non-academic programmes as coordinators at the Institute and National level and acted as resource person for different FDP programmes.

Apart from being an academician and administrator, Dr. Bordoloi also has interest in making electronic equipment and gadgets and likes to pen down articles in newspapers and blogs. He is an active person who can adapt to any task and role as assigned to him and properly justifies all tasks with ease and with full commitment.
