Dr. Moytri Sarmah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Girijananda Chowdhury University. She has joined on 2 nd August, 2011.
Dr. Sarmah has done her M.Sc. in Mathematics from Gauhati University. She carried out her research in the field of Algebraic Graph Theory. She got doctoral degree from Gauhati University. Dr. Moytri Sarmah has participated in near about 20 National and International seminars and conferences. Attended more than 5 FDPs and Workshops. She has 4 international research publications in SCOPUS and WOS indexed journals and one regional publication. Her research interest is in the field of Algebra and Algebraic Graph Theory.Dr. Moytri Sarmah is life member of Assam Academy of Mathematics and Indian Mathematical Society.
With 12 years of teaching experience, Dr. Moytri Sarmah teaches Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Optimization Techniques, Algebra, Graph theory, Complex Analysis, Discrete Mathematics in various Under Graduate as well as Post Graduate Programmes. In the classroom she always encourages the students to think and solve problems by their own. Her positive attitude always makes students comfortable for which students found her approachable for their problems.
Dr. Moytri Sarmah successfully organizes various events including inter-college as well as intra college events in the past. She had been a member of Media and Publicity for three consecutive times in the Hackathon, an event organized by Central Ministry, India. She is an active member of ECO Club and the Coordinator of Cultural Club, GCU.
Apart from fulfilling her academic and administrative duties, Dr. Moytri Sarmah is popular for her in formal Anchoring during annual cultural fest of the university.
