Dr. Monisha Devi is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Guwahati, Assam, where she joined on August 2023. She received her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Jorhat Engineering College under Dibrugarh University in 2012. She did her Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Information Technology from Tezpur University in 2015, where she was the Gold Medallist of her batch, and was awarded the Best Postgraduate Award of Tezpur University for the year 2015. Further, she received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Tezpur University in the area of Cognitive Radio Networks under the supervision of Prof. Nityananda Sarma in 2022.
Dr. Devi has qualified GATE in 2014, UGC NET Lectureship in 2014, and is the recipient of DST INSPIRE Fellowship for her Ph.D. degree. From March 2018 to December 2019, she has served as an Assistant Professor (Contractual), and from January 2020 to June 2022 she has served as a Guest Faculty for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University, India.
Dr. Devi has published several journal articles, conference papers and book chapters, as well as presented multiple conference presentations. She is also the reviewer of IEEE Access, IEEE Transaction on Mobile Computing, IEEE Communication Letters, IEEE Wireless Communication Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, and Physical Communications. She has participated in multiple national and international workshops, seminars, SWAYAM courses, and FDPs/FIP. Her areas of research include – Wireless Communication, Ad Hoc Networks, Cognitive Radio Networks, 5G Communication.
