Dr. Monisha Devi is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Guwahati, Assam, where she joined on August 2023. She received her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Jorhat Engineering College under Dibrugarh University in 2012. She did her Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Information Technology from Tezpur University in 2015, where she was the Gold Medallist of her batch, and was awarded the Best Postgraduate Award of Tezpur University for the year 2015. Further, she received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Tezpur University in the area of Cognitive Radio Networks under the supervision of Prof. Nityananda Sarma in 2022.
Dr. Devi has qualified GATE in 2014, UGC NET Lectureship in 2014, and is the recipient of DST INSPIRE Fellowship for her Ph.D. degree. From March 2018 to December 2019, she has served as an Assistant Professor (Contractual), and from January 2020 to June 2022 she has served as a Guest Faculty for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University, India.
Dr. Devi has published 16 journal articles, conference papers and book chapters till August 2023, and is also the reviewer of IEEE Access, Journal of Computer Science, Transaction on Mobile Computing. She has participated in multiple national and international workshops, seminars and conferences (presented papers). Her areas of research include – Cognitive Radio Networks, Wireless Ad Hoc Networks, 5G Communication.
