Professor Dipankar Saha is the current Registrar of Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Assam. Prior to his appointment as the Registrar, Professor Saha has had an extensive teaching experience of 16 years in Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS), Guwahati, which is currently a constituent institution under GCU. He has rendered his services as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and eventually as a Professor in the Dept. Of Pharmacology, GIPS Guwahati. With regard to his academic career, Professor Saha did his Ph.D from Dibrugarh University in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Professor Saha’s primary research interest lies in isolating bioactive compounds from natural sources and screening their Pharmacological activities with reference to various ailments. Furthermore, Professor Saha is the Life Member of Indian Pharmacy Graduate Association. He has completed two AICTE funded FDP, and he is currently engaged in one ongoing AICTE RPS-NER project. He has published more than 25 research papers in various reputed national and international journals. Moreover, he has also participated as a resource person and presented research papers in several conferences, seminars and workshops.
