Dhriti Borah joined as an Assistant Professor in Girijananda Chowdhury University on 9 th September, 2019. Presently, she is teaching Economics and Environmental science. Prior to this, she worked as an Assistant Professor in Royal Global Institutions (now. Royal Global University). From a young age, she displayed a remarkable aptitude for academics, particularly in Mathematics and Economics. Inspired by her parents’ emphasis on education and the importance of giving back to the society, she developed a deep sense of purpose and a desire to effect positive change. Dhriti’s academic journey is very much impressive. From her childhood,her exceptional abilities in the academic field quickly became evident. With continuous guidance and support from teachers and her parents, she pursued higher education. She secured admission in to the prestigious Cotton College (now Cotton University) and completed her Higher secondary and also obtained Bachelor’s degree in Economics with first class with distinction in Political Science (pass course). After that, she obtained her Master’s degree from Gauhati University. Then, she obtained B.Ed degree from Teacher’s Training College Mirza. Fuelled by her potential and passion, she embarked on a journey to expand her knowledge and pursuedMaster of Philosophy (M.Phil) and immediately after completion of M.Phil, she enrolled for Ph,D course and after few years of dedicated and extensive work on Socio-Economic Aspects of Female Infertility, she got her Ph.D. degree from the prestigious Gauhati University. Her research explored variety of topics including Demography, Environmental Studies and Developmental Economics.
Apart from professional endeavors, Dhriti Borah is also known for her warm and compassionate nature. She actively participates in various philanthropic activities. In future, she wants to engage with the different activities related to the upliftment of the underprivileged sections of the society.
With an urge to gather more and more knowledge, she continues to learn and also tries to shape the future of her field and inspire the students to strive for excellence.
