Biography

Dr. Bipul Kumar Talukdar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering of Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam. Beyond academic duties, Dr. Talukdar is also currently working as AICTE Coordinator/Nodal Officer of the university, NBA Coordinator (EE Programme) and a member of the IPR Cell of the University.

Dr. Talukdar holds his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (2011) and Masters of Engineering in Electrical Power Systems (2014) from Assam Engineering College, Jalukbari which is a premier government engineering institute in North East. He did his PhD from the prestigious Gauhati University in 2022 on the topic, “Power System Reliability Analysis with special Emphasis on Renewable Distributed Generation and Electric Vehicle”. His research interests include electric vehicle, solar energy, microgrid, distributed generation systems, power system operation, control and reliability.

Dr. Talukdar has more than nine years of experience in teaching. He has taught courses like Power Systems, Control Systems, Electrical Machines, Basic Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, Signals and Systems in the Under Graduate levels. He has also experience of guiding more than 15 undergraduate projects so far. Dr. Talukdar is associated with many professional organizations like IEEE, Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), International Society for Research and Development (ISRD), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), etc. Moreover, he has participated as a resource person and presented research papers in several conferences, seminars and workshops.
