Mr. Bedanta Bhattacharjee is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Pharmacology, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Tezpur Campus. He has completed his M.Pharm (University 3rd Rank Holder) in Pharmacology from Dibrugarh University, Assam, and his B.Pharm (University 2nd Rank Holder) from Assam University, Silchar. During B. Pharm, he was awarded with UGC-Ishan Uday Fellowship. He has qualified Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) with AIR-849, unveiling his in-depth knowledge of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy, with an aim to develop and validate small drug molecules against cancer. He has 2 years of academic experience.
Mr. Bedanta has authored more than 35 peer-reviewed original research, review, and book chapter publications in journals of international repute and 1 patent on his credit.
His thrust area includes cancer biology, epigenetic signature, neurodegenerative disorders, nanoformulation, and herbal therapies.
His teaching interests include Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Drug Store and Business Management, Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, and Community Pharmacy Management.
He has been selected for a Summer Internship in Hands-on training at ICMR-NIREH, Bhopal as a trainee in the domain of cancer biomarkers, POC detection tools, and epigenetic signature under the supervisor of Dr. P. K. Mishra, Scientist-F, ICMR-NIREH, Bhopal.
Mr. Bedanta believes that someday, somewhere, somehow, someone will develop a novel anticancer therapeutics that will make a significant contribution to the healthcare sector.
