Dr Subarna Sankar Das(PT) joined as an Assistant Professor in the department of Physiotherapy, School of Allied Health Sciences, at Girijananda Chowdhury University on 4th march 2024. He has completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree (under Guwahati University) from Pews group of institution in the year 2018 and done his internship from Odisha and Guwahati. He has also completed his Masters of Physiotherapy Degree (under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences) from Pews Group of Institutions Guwahati, in the year 2023. During his postgraduation he did his thesis titled “Effectiveness of PNF approach Vs Brunnstrom approach on improving hemiplegic upper limb function in patients with chronic stroke”- A comparative study. Dr. Subarna (PT) has his own clinic namely Incentive Physiotherapy Clinic at Guwahati, providing quality care physiotherapy services to the patients since5 years. He has provided physiotherapy services at various sports and tournaments that has held at the stadiums of Guwahati.
He has attended and participated in various conferences, seminars and workshops around and outside of Guwahati. He has presented a poster in the PHFI North East Health Care Summit 2017 held at Gangtok, Sikkim. He has also attended workshops on dry needling, kinesio tapping etc. He is a member of Indian Association of Physiotherapist. He is a certified cupping therapy practitioner also. He has organized various free health camps through his clinic providing awareness as well as health care services to the society.
