A 6-days workshop on “Full Stack Web Development” was conducted from June 5th, 2023 to June 10th 2023, at Department of Computer Science, Girijananda Chowdhury University.
Workshops are a dynamic and instrumental teaching medium that introduce students to the subjects through real-time problems and hands-on. The resource persons invited for this workshop are well-versed with the current technologies in this domain. They are Mr. Devaraj Mahanta, a Research Scholar at IASST Guwahati and Mr. Risheraj Baruah, presently working as a Teaching Associate at Department of Computer Science, Guwahati University.
The coordinators of this workshop are Ms. Shrabani Medhi, Ms. Mala Ahmed and Ms. Ilina Sinha. They are currently working in the position of Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science, Girijananda Chowdhury University. The entire program was meticulously supervised by Dr. Minakshi Gogoi, the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Girijananda Chowdhury University.
A total of 66 students registered for the workshop. The demography mostly included students from 4th Semester and 2nd Semester of B.Tech, Computer Science, Girijananda Chowdhury University. The participation was impressive and the students actively engaged with the hand-on during the sessions and the assignments.
The course content included basic and advanced topics like Introduction to HTML, CSS, Flexbox, Grid, Bootstrap, Web Design, JavaScript, DOM, jQuery, Node.js, Express.js, API, Github and Version Control, EJS and SQL, MongoDB, Mongoose, Deploying a Web App, Authentication and Security, React.js and Web3
Decentralized App Development with Internet Computer. The technologies taught are industry-friendly at real time.
