Mr. Bedanta Bhattacharjee Receives Travel Grant to Attend IBRO Neuroscience and Pain School 2024, Secures 2nd Place in Quiz Competition

Tezpur, Assam – October 21, 2024: Mr. Bedanta Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Tezpur Campus, was honored with a prestigious travel grant to attend the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) supported IIT (BHU) Neuroscience and Pain School 2024. The event, held at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, India, from October 10 to 16, 2024, focused on the theme, “Understanding the Complex Interplay between Pain and Drug Addiction: Advancing Strategies for the Effective Management of Neurological Disorders.”

The program attracted participants from both India and abroad and featured distinguished speakers and experts from around the world. Mr. Bhattacharjee actively contributed to the academic discussion with his oral presentation titled, “Investigation of the Neuroprotective Property of Co-administered Resveratrol and Hesperidin in Scopolamine-induced Cognitive Impairments in Rats.” His work explored the potential neuroprotective effects of the combined administration of Resveratrol and Hesperidin, highlighting their role in mitigating cognitive impairments.

In addition to his impactful presentation, Mr. Bhattacharjee also showcased his proficiency during the event’s Quiz Competition, where he secured an impressive 2ndplace among participants from diverse backgrounds. His accomplishment not only brought pride to GCU, Tezpur, but also underscored the university’s commitment to excellence in research and scholarship.

The event provided an enriching platform for professionals, scholars, and students to discuss cutting-edge strategies in managing neurological disorders, further contributing to advancements in the field of neuroscience.
