POWER UNIT (UPS AND VOLTAGE STABLIZER)

ETYMOLOGY

A Power Unit generally refers to devices that ensure a stable and reliable power supply for electrical equipment. The two key components of a power unit often include a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and a Voltage Stabilizer. Both play critical roles in protecting sensitive equipment from power fluctuations and interruptions.

A voltage stabilizer is used to maintain a consistent output voltage level, protecting equipment from voltage fluctuations, surges, or drops.

A UPS provides backup power to electrical devices when the main power source fails, typically offering enough time to save work and shut down systems safely.

FUNCTIONS AND WORKING OF UPS

It contains a battery that is continuously charged by the main power. When the power goes out, the UPS switches to battery power and provides an uninterrupted supply of electricity.

FUNCTIONS AND WORKING OF VOLATEG STABLIZER

The stabilizer detects incoming voltage fluctuations and adjusts the voltage accordingly, either boosting it or cutting it down to a safe, stable level.
