About the Event:
The programme was aimed to provide in-depth knowledge about complete PCB designing using a simulation tool to test electronic circuits in software environments and their fabrication. PCB design software named EAGLE was used. The following content was covered in the programme:
- Schematic Design
- Component Footprint Design
- Integrated Library Design
- PCB Design & Routing (Board Layout)
- Transferring the Design to Copper Clad (by heat transfer)
- Etching of PCB
- Drilling and Component Pasting
- Soldering of Components onto the PCB
- Testing and Verification
- DIY (own design)
A total of 10 faculty members participated in the faculty development programme. The faculties enjoyed the hands-on experience and the process of designing the electronic circuit layout, etching techniques, and soldering the components on their PCB. They were asked to design their circuits. They demonstrated the working of their design. Feedback about the programme was collected on the final day. The faculties appreciated the initiative of the IDEA lab team in organizing the FDP. The programme came to an end with the valedictory session. Mr. Abhinandan Kalita and Mr. Tridib Roy (Tech Gurus) have coordinated & executed the faculty development programme to make it successful in enhancing faculties’ skill levels.
