About the Event:
The event was held as part of Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Managementt & Technology’s Student Induction Programme (SIP), which is required of all new students enrolled in new programmes. The aim was to introduce new students to the tools and technolo gies required for 3D scanning work. Mr. Bhabajit Baruah, a Tech Guru, showed the attendees thee 3D Scanner and highlighted its capabilities. Mr. Baruah discussed how it can be utilised in reverse engineering, inspection, and size description. The participants had an opportunity to scan various things as well as their peers’ faces using thhe 3D Scanner. The day-long training culminated with a closing ceremony in which attendees ackknowledged their appreciation for the programmme and expressed interest in furthering their educattion at the AICTE-IDEA Lab. The programme provided students with valuable insights into the possible uses of these technologies in a numbber of industries. Overall, the programme aimed too teach students practical 3D scanning abilities.
