On the Occasion of World Diabetes Day 14 th November 2023, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences has organized a “Diabetes screening program” with a motto of “Check, Change and Control- Diabetes Awareness and Screening program for all”. The Screening program was followed by a talk on “Heart and Health: Exploring the connection between Diabetes and Cardiovascular wellness by Dr. Arijit Mazumdar, MBBS, MD. Students of MLT has also formed Human Blue circle signifying the logo of World diabetes day as an activity. Celebrating World diabetes day helps to inculcate the social responsibility in the student community as a future Health care professional. WDD program at GCU highlighted the awareness about diabetes, promoting Healthy Life style, prevention and management of Diabetes. Activities of Diabetes day at GCU is also published in International Diabetes Federation’s world diabetes day website
