A two days workshop on the topic “Recent Trends in Pharmaceutical Research” was organized at the Azara campus of Girijanada Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS), a constituent institution of Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU) from 25th May 2023 to 26th May 2023. The workshop was conducted by the Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility (SAIF), GIPS under the aegis of Girijananda Chowdhury University for students pursuing B. Pharm and M. Pharm.
DAY 1 of the workshop comprised of three technical sessions. Prof. Alak Kumar Buragohain, Chancellor, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Dr. Damiki Laloo, Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy, GIPS-Guwahati and Dr. Sunayana Baruah, Veterinary Officer, GIPS-Guwahati, graced the sessions as honourable Resource Persons.
The technical session was followed by a visit to DST-FIST Laboratory and Research Laboratory of GIPS-Guwahati, GCU for demonstration of various analytical instruments
On DAY 2, the students visited the Animal House facility, GIPS, GCU for demonstration of basic animal experimentation techniques and animal handling procedures as well as the Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility (SAIF) unit.
The workshop was concluded with an interactive session with the student participants and distribution of certificates.
