The School of Pharmaceutical Science, GIPS-Tezpur, GCU, Assam at its constituent Tezpur campus is delighted to be a part of the global community in celebrating the transformative power of yoga on this auspicious occasion of International Yoga Day. A week-long yoga training session was organized by Ms. ArzooNewar, GIPS-Tezpur, Yoga, starting from June 14 to June 21, 2023.The program’s goal is to raise awareness of yoga’s physical, mental, and spiritual advantages, with a focus on its positive influence on total well-being. The topic for this year is “Yoga for VasudhaivaKutumbakam,” which embodies the idea of One Earth, One Family, One Future.
Today, June 21, 2023, our invited Yoga instructor, Mr. Harekrishna Das, from Dr. BhupenHazarikaSanskritik Kendra, Dhekiajuli, graced the occasion, and the program began with Dr. Abdul Baquee Ahmed, Principal, GIPS-Tezpur, felicitating the invited guest. The enthusiastic staff, which includes the Principal, faculty members, and non-teaching staff, has joined together to embrace the essence of yoga via different asanas, pranayama methods, and meditation practices as recommended by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
