PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

1) PHYSICAL RESOURCE: The department will facilitate the students and faculty members with latest hardware and software products in laboratories for meeting the following goals.
   a. Students can avail curricular and co-curricular activities.
   b. Undertaking R&D consultancy projects by the department.
   c. Undertake higher or advance research work relevant to the profession by joint team.

2) HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH:
   a. To provide students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and prepare them for graduate studies.
   b. To provide value addition programs to develop abilities for seeking admissions in PG and PhD programs in Indian as well as in foreign universities.

3) EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS:
   a. The department will ensure that the faculty members and other employees demonstrate professional behavior as role models of the students.
   b. The department will ensure to integrate development of technological and communication skills together.
   c. The department will ensure that faculty and students use innovative methods of self learning and facilitating learning to inculcate and nurture life long learning skills.

4) PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT:
   a. The department will ensure that the faculty, staff and students practise the behaviours related to time management, self discipline, positive attitude, honesty and integrity.
   b. The department will organize departmental seminars on regular basis on themes such as innovations in technology or innovations in delivering and accessing the technical contents.
   c. The department will ensure to adopt the approach of self-development group for developing the personalities and competence of faculty and the students.

5) SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: The department will try to organize socializing activities such as-
   a. Inter-departmental Seminars
   b. Official Picnics
   c. Annual Functions
   d. Health Awareness Camps
   e. Organizing models model exhibitions under the guidance of faculty member.
   f. Interactive sessions with experts from different fields.

6) CAREER PREFERENCE: The department expects that the graduates will pursue career on the following streams-

A Graduate in Electrical Engineering will be able to

  1. To Apply knowledge of science, mathematics and electrical engineering fundamentals appropriate to the discipline.
  2. To Analyze problem and prescribe an appropriate solution.
  3. To Design, implement, and evaluate an electrical-based system, process, components to meet desired needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, economical and environmental issues.
  4. To Design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data obtained from the electrical system.
  5. To use current techniques, skills, and modern tools necessary for development of electrical power system.
  6. To analyze the local and global impact of electrical system on individuals, industries, organizations and society.
  7. To apply engineering and management principles to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects.
  8. To implement effective communication skills in their social and professional life such as
    a) Speaking and listening.
    b) Reading and writing.
    c) Interpret and prepare visual cues.
  9. To understand professional, ethical, legal, security, social issues and responsibilities to accomplish a common goal for the development of society.
  10. To harness renewable or non-conventional energy sources that reduces the harmful impact on society.
  11. To practice time-management and life-long learning.
