Industrial Visit of EE Department

The Department of Electrical Engineering organized a one-day industry visit to the Hydroelectric Power Station under MEPGCL, Meghalaya. 6th and 8th semester students participated in the visit, accompanied by faculty members Mr. Sanjib Hazarika and Ms. Pallavi Roy.

During the visit, students gained practical knowledge of the hydroelectric dam, operational units, control systems, turbines, and transmission yards. This experiential learning opportunity provided students with invaluable insights into real-time power plant operations.

The Department organizes regular visit to industries related with Electrical Engineering. The industrial visit is a part of the co curricular activities of department and these visits were being conducted since many years. Some recent visits were made like visit to Karbi Langpi hydro-electric plant and Visit to M/S Power Maker in 2022
