Brief about the program: Department of CE, Girijananda Chowdhury University, Assam offers M. Tech in Civil (Structural Engineering) for working professionals which is AICTE-approved from the Academic Year 2024-2025. Eligibility and Admission Criteria:
• Professionals working in Registered Industry / Organization (Central / State) / Private/ Public Limited Company/ MSMEs located within 75 KM radial distance from place of residence/working place to the enrolled institutions.
• Minimum of ONE Year Full time / Regular working Experience.
• Passed Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with at least 50% Marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
Academic Requirement:
• Mode of Conduct of Classes shall be as applicable for Regular Programs.
• Timings for conduct of classes normally shall be in the evening hours/any flexible convenient timings in alignment with timings of Industry / Organization.
• Syllabus shall be same as applicable to regular students.
• As per the AICTE Regulation up to 40% of credit transfer is permitted through MOOCs/ SWAYAM.
• Examination shall be same as the regular students.
• Engage in innovative research, developing new technologies, products, or methodologies in your field of expertise.
• Pursue further studies leading to a Ph.D. and engage in academic research or teaching positions at universities
• Lead the technological vision and strategy of an organization, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business objectives.
