A six-day workshop on “Full Stack Web Development” was conducted from 5th June 2023 to 10th June 2023 at the Department of Computer Science, Girijananda Chowdhury University.
Workshops serve as a dynamic and instrumental teaching medium, introducing students to subjects through real-time problem-solving and hands-on practice. The resource persons invited for this workshop were highly experienced professionals well-versed in current technologies in the field. They were Mr. Devaraj Mahanta, Research Scholar at IASST, Guwahati, and Mr. Risheraj Baruah, Teaching Associate at the Department of Computer Science, Gauhati University.
The workshop was coordinated by Ms. Shrabani Medhi, Ms. Mala Ahmed, and Ms. Ilina Sinha, all serving as Assistant Professors in the Department of Computer Science, Girijananda Chowdhury University. The entire program was meticulously supervised by Dr. Minakshi Gogoi, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Girijananda Chowdhury University.
A total of 93 students registered for the workshop, primarily from the 4th and 2nd semesters of B.Tech in Computer Science. The participation was commendable, and students actively engaged in hands-on sessions and assignments throughout the program.
The course content covered both fundamental and advanced topics, including:
HTML, CSS, Flexbox, Grid, Bootstrap, Web Design, JavaScript, DOM, jQuery, Node.js, Express.js, API, GitHub and Version Control, EJS, SQL, MongoDB, Mongoose, Deploying a Web App, Authentication and Security, React.js, and Web3 Decentralized App Development with Internet Computer.
The technologies taught during the workshop were industry-relevant and focused on real-time applications, ensuring participants gained practical insights into modern web development practices.
