Admission Procedure & Eligibility

Applicant can apply for admission in online mode by using the official website of GCU.

B.TECH PROGRAMME

Eligibility (as per AICTE norms):

  • Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR

Passed D.Voc. stream in the same or allied sector.

B.TECH (LATERAL) PROGRAMME

Eligibility (as per AICTE norms):

  • Passed Minimum THRE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45%marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology. OR
  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40%marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. OR
  • Passed B.Voc/3-year D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

B.TECH FOR WORKING PROFESSIONAL

Eligibility (as per AICTE norms):

  • Professionals working in Registered Industry/ Organization (Central/State)/Private/ Public Limited Company / MSMEs located within 50 KM radial distance from the Institute.
  • Minimum of ONE Year Full time / Regular working Experience.
  • Qualification Same as candidates eligible for Lateral Entry to Second Year (As Specified in Approval Process Handbook published by AlCTE from time to time).

M.TECH  PROGRAMME

Eligibility (as per AICTE norms):

  • Passed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

M.TECH  FOR WORKING PROFESSIONAL

Eligibility (as per AICTE norms):

  • Professionals working in Registered Industry/ Organization (Central/State)/ Private/ Public Limited Company / MSMEs located within 75 Km radial distance from the Institute.
  • Minimum of ONE Year Full time / Regular working Experience.
  • Qualification same as candidates eligible for M.TECH as Specified in Approval Process Handbook published by ACITE from time to time.

MBA PROGRAMME

Eligibility (as per AICTE norms):

Passed Bachelor Degree of minimum 3 years duration. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

MBA FOR WORKING PROFESSIONAL

Eligibility (as per AICTE norms):

  • Professionals working in Registered Industry/ Organization (Central/State)/ Private/ Public Limited Company / MSMEs located within 75 Km radial distance from the Institute.
  • Minimum of ONE Year Full time / Regular working Experience.
  • Qualification as Specified in Approval Process Handbook published by ACITE from time to time.

Integrated MBA (As per AICTE norms)

Passed 10+2 examination. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

MCA PROGRAMME

Eligibility (as per AICTE norms):

Passed any graduation degree (e.g.: BE / B.Tech./ BS.c / B.Com. / B.A./ B. Voc./ BCA etc.,) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Integrated MCA (As per AICTE norms)

Passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Accountancy as compulsory subjects. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

PHARM/ B.PHARM PROGRAMMES

Eligibility (as per PCI norms):

  • Pass in HS/(10+2) examination or an equivalent examination of any approved board or university with not less than 50% marks in any combination comprising of PCM/PCB.
  • Note: In respect of candidates who have taken PCMB combinations, the aggregate of PCM/PCB whichever is higher shall be considered for the purpose of admission. In case of students belonging to SC/ST, the minimum percentage of marks for admission to B.Pharm programme shall not be less than 45% in (10 +2) or equivalent examination (PCM/PCB).
  • Candidates must not be less than 17 years of age on first of August of the year in which the admission is sought.

B.PHARM (LATERAL ENTRY)

Eligibility (as per PCI norms):

Pass in D.Pharm from any institute approved by PCI with not less than 50% marks in aggregate shall be eligible for admission in this course.

M.PHARM (PHARMACEUTICS, PHARMACOLOGY, PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY, PHARMACOGNOSY)

Eligibility (as per PCI norms):

Pass in B.Pharm from any PCI and AlCTE recognized institute with not less than 50%marks in aggregate are eligible for admission. GPAT qualified Candidates will be given preference in admission and are eligible to receive scholarship from the Govt. of India.

BMLS/ BPT :

Eligibility:

Pass in HS/(10+2) examination or an equivalent examination of any approved board/ council or university with not less than 50% marks in the combination comprising of PCB. In case of students belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the minimum percentage of marks for admission shall not be less than 45% in (10 +2) or equivalent examination (PCB).

MMLS :

Eligibility:

Pass in BMLT/ BMLS from any recognized Institute/University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission.

МРТ :

Eligibility:

Pass in BPT from any recognized institute/university with not less than 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission.

 

FOR ALL OTHER UG (BA/ BSc/ BCom/ BSW/ BBA/ BCA) PROGRAMMES

Eligibility (as per UGC norms):

Pass in Senior / Higher Secondary (10+2) level Examination from any State / Central Board / Council.

BSc in Mathematics and Data Science

Eligibility:

Pass in Senior / Higher Secondary (10+2) level Examination from any State / Central Board / Council with Mathematics as one of the subject.

MSc in Data Science (one year)

Eligibility :

  • 4-year Undergraduate (NEP) /Master Degree in any discipline with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Quantitative Techniques as a course in either HS or Undergraduate level with basic computing skills. or
  • 4-year Undergraduate (NEP) /Master Degree in any discipline (in this case the student has to undergo a non-credit bridge course on mathematics and statistics simultaneously with first semester).

FOR ALL OTHER PG (MA/MSc/MCom/MSW) PROGRAMMES

Eligibility (as per UGC norms):

Any Graduate from a recognized Indian or Foreign Institute/University.

BSc (Hons) Agriculture:

Eligibility:

Pass in HS/(10+2) examination or an equivalent examination of any approved board/ council or university with not less than 50% marks in the combination comprising of PCB. In case of students belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the minimum percentage of marks for admission shall not be less than 45% in (10 +2) or equivalent examination (PCB).
