Dr. Jewel Bashirul Islam is currently serving as Lecturer at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Assam. Prior to the present appointment, Dr. Islam has accumulated approximately 4 years of teaching and academic experience at Allama T R College of Pharmacy and Chanakya Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research, which are affiliated institutions under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) And CMJ University.
Dr. Islam has rendered academic services in the capacity of Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice . With regard to academic qualifications, Dr. Islam is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Phytopharmacology from Girijananda Chowdhury University.
Dr. Islam’s primary research interests include Phytopharmacology, Diabetic Wound Healing, Patient Counselling, and Pharmacoepidemiology, with a focus on plant-based therapeutic interventions and Clinical Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Islam is an Executive Member (Assam State) of the National Forum of Pharmacy Students (NFPS).
Dr. Islam has attended FDPs, workshops, and training programmes and is currently engaged in doctoral research on diabetic wound healing. Dr. Islam has published 1 research paper in a reputed journal and has actively participated as a resource person and presenter in various conferences, seminars, and workshops.
