Dr. Priti Rekha Das is a psychologist, academic, and researcher with a strong interest in addiction psychology and the application of machine learning in mental health. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, followed by a Master’s degree in Psychology from Gauhati University. She has submitted her Ph.D. thesis in Psychology at Gauhati University. She has also qualified the UGC-NET in Psychology (2021 and 2022) and cleared GATE in Psychology.
Her research interests include substance addiction recovery, Clinical psychology, Positive psychology, Health psychology, and the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning in mental health research. She has contributed to the field through several research publications in SCOPUS and SCIE-indexed journals. She has also authored and contributed to book chapters focusing on advancements and challenges of machine learning in addiction research.
Ms. Das has more than 3 years of teaching and research experience across reputed institutions, including Gauhati University and Cotton University. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Girijananda Choudhury University. In addition to her academic work, she has been actively involved in community service as a voluntary counsellor at a drug rehabilitation centre, providing support to individuals recovering from substance use disorders.
She is passionate about teaching and is committed to advancing research in addiction psychology through interdisciplinary approaches that combine clinical insights with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
