A Dental Camp and Interactive Wellness Session on General Cancer and Oral Health was successfully organized by Dr. Reddy’s Forum of Health Education in collaboration with the School of Allied Health Sciences, GCU and NSS Unit 1, GCU on dated 25.02.2026. The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting preventive healthcare, early detection, and overall well-being among faculty members and staff.
The Dental Camp was conducted by Dr. Abhinandan Sarmah, an experienced General Dentist and owner of Smart Smile Dental Care, Guwahati. The camp provided professional dental check-ups, personalized guidance on oral hygiene practices, and valuable counselling on preventive oral healthcare. The morning session at the Wellness Centre witnessed active participation and appreciation from attendees.
The interactive wellness session was held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The keynote speaker, Dr. Naresh Jadhav, Senior Consultant and Unit In-charge, Medical Oncology at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Guwahati, delivered an insightful talk on General Cancer Awareness. He emphasized the importance of early detection, routine screening, healthy lifestyle practices, and advancements in cancer treatment, including immunotherapy and targeted therapy. His session was highly informative and encouraged participants to adopt preventive health measures.
The session was interactive in nature, with participants actively engaging in discussions and clarifying their doubts. The programme concluded with a felicitation ceremony and a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the esteemed speakers and organizers for their valuable contribution.
